

Catherine Gellman (sixth from left), Allied Member ASID, originally from Southeastern Massachusetts, joined the Nandina team in the Summer of 2007. Catherine brings a diverse design background to the table by having undergraduate degrees in both Interior Design and Environmental Design. Most recently she obtained a Master of Arts degree in Industrial Design from The Savannah College of Art and Design. Catherine's previous experience includes both high end residential and commercial interiors in Providence, RI and Palm Beach, FL. These experiences afforded Catherine the opportunity to design projects throughout the USA, as well as abroad in destinations such as Hong Kong, Morroco and The Bahamas. In addition to her degrees, Catherine also sat for the US Green Building Council's exam to become a LEED Acredited Professional. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and is a program developed by the USGBC to create a benchmark for sustainable buildign standards. Catherine's design strengths lie in space planning, interior architecture, hard finish selection, kitchen and bath design and custom furniture design. Her aproach to design is team oriented with her clients. Catherine also believes that an interior designer should enhance a client's ideas with insight that comes from experience.
